Chromosome 5 (Click here to view the physical map)

The physical map of chromosome 5 was constructed using the data from 127 probes.  Chromosome 5 contains 15 Assembly 19 sequence contigs and is 1,190,506 bp in Assembly 20.  The fosmid contig is continuous and has two SfiI fragments M and I, separated by a single MRS.  Chromosome 5 has a lone RB2 about 350 Kb to the left of the MRS on 19-10170. The centromere is also on 19-10170 about 250 Kb to the left of the MRS. Chromosome 5 is highly heterozygous.

This is a schematic drawings of the chromosome 5 of strain 1006. The thin lines are SfiI sites, the thick lines are MRS locations.
